From a young brewery that has been cutting it’s teeth with some safe bet beer comes this daring and wonderful surprise. On the lower end of ABV for a Russian Imperial Stout, this is still a strong beer but by no means hot. The nose suggests milk stout, but it certainly isn’t as sweet. Warming chocolate, smoky and just a little bit sweet.
Pair this with crepes, blue cheese, duck breast or dark chocolate.
My rating: 5/5
* As a five star beer, this is very reasonably priced at approximately $9 per bottle.
